These Innervisions guys had a strong year in 2011, with the label's track Envison lauded by many. They also branched out from making club releases,with an inventive rescoring of cult silent film The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari (1920) performed live at the Roundhouse, Camden, in conjunction with Ron Arad's Curtain Call installation, an interactive, 360 degree curtain of silicone, 3 metres high.
Aside from this tracks deep groove and slightly ominous vocal line, it's the video I'm most attracted to. Plus, the long and wavy note that gets held at length reminds me of Carl Craig's Sandstorm, a broody and enduring ten minutes.
